What is the Jibbi 1670 tracked boom lift?

The Jibbi 1670 is a telescopic tracked boom lift from Italian manufacturer AlmaCrawler with a working height of 16 metres. The basket sits on a telescopic boom with a jib, so you reach not only high but also far: up to 8.5 metres sideways. The tracked undercarriage takes the machine where a wheeled lift cannot go.

What makes the Jibbi special is its dynamic levelling. The undercarriage automatically keeps itself level on slopes of up to 15° lengthwise and sideways, even while driving. You can keep driving with the basket raised up to a height of 9.8 metres. The tracks extend from 1.35 to 2.45 metres: narrow to drive through a door or gate, wide for maximum stability.

Who is the Jibbi 1670 for?

The Jibbi 1670 is built for arborists, roofers, façade builders, painters and maintenance companies that have to work on uneven or sloping ground, and for rental companies looking for an all-round tracked lift. The lithium version works quietly and emission-free, so it is also suitable indoors and in town.

Technical specifications of the Jibbi 1670

The key data of the Jibbi 1670, according to AlmaCrawler’s technical datasheet:

  • Working height: 16 m, platform height: 14 m
  • Drive height with basket raised: 9.8 m
  • Outreach: 8.5 m with 80 kg, 6.7 m with 230 kg
  • Basket capacity: 230 kg (2 persons)
  • Basket: 1.40 x 0.70 m, optional 1.80 x 0.70 m
  • Turret rotation: 220° (± 110°), basket: ± 70°
  • Levelling: ± 15° lengthwise and sideways, maximum gradient 25°
  • Width: 1.35 m stowed, up to 2.45 m working width
  • Stowed length: 5.10 m (4.40 m without basket)
  • Power EVO: Yanmar diesel 14 kW; LTH: lithium battery 48 V, 300 Ah
  • Weight: 3,850 kg (EVO) or 3,910 kg (LTH)
  • Drive speed: 2.5 km/h

What do these specifications mean?

Working height is the height at which a person in the basket works; it is 2 metres above the platform height. Outreach depends on the load: with 80 kg you reach 8.5 metres, with the full 230 kg still 6.7 metres. Drive height tells you up to which height you may travel with the basket raised, useful for working along a façade without lowering each time.

Benefits of the self-levelling tracked boom lift

The Jibbi 1670 combines reach with a compact undercarriage:

  • Drive at height: up to 9.8 m with the basket raised.
  • Narrow and wide: tracks from 1.35 to 2.45 m, through narrow passages yet stable.
  • Diesel or lithium: choose autonomy or quiet, emission-free work.
  • Options: radio remote control, non-marking tracks, 200 kg winch and ultrasonic anti-collision.
